PADIS FROM THE BEGINNING
Padis was born out of two friends' passion for card games. In 2004, they decided to open a store dedicated to Legend of the Five Rings.
It soon became a hub for the game, not only in their city but nationwide, and was even recognized with its own card, the Padis Dojo.
Although it may surprise us now, technological possibilities and resources meant that in 2004 it was still necessary to work hard to connect communities of players from different cities, let alone countries! So Padis became a great meeting point for players and for exchanging cards.
Over the years, the store's growth has led us to evolve. Five rings was joined by other LCGs, board games, our famous collection of Rubik's cubes, and many other products, giving way to a more complete "geek" store with a wider range of products.
WE'VE MOVED!!!!
Padis' growth led us, with sadness in our hearts, to look for a larger space for the store. We left our classic location on General Álvarez de Castro for our current residence at 36 Blasco de Garay.
This change allowed us to continue growing while also providing a games room with much greater capacity, making us one of the top choices for spending an afternoon playing games or signing up for tournaments and events.
THE TEAM
Dimas
Founder of Padis and current captain of the ship. In addition to acting as a multitasking ninja in the management of the store, he is a seasoned player in practically every board game he tries.
Aran
Co-pilot on this adventure. Designer, writer, and with the best eye for Funko Pop acquisitions. She has been part of all the store's transformations, so much so that part of her soul is imprinted on Padis. Now the store is a Horcrux.
Folken
Professional film and TV series buff. He keeps up with all the latest releases. He has a pace that only he can keep up with. If the Avengers have the Hulk, we have Folken.
Raúl
Our very own artist. He can create a work of art or give you a masterclass in Dragon Ball. He's easy to spot thanks to his amazing hair.
He was the inspiration for the movie Benjamin Button.
Pedro
Our veteran and wise colleague—don't miss the opportunity to get his advice on any board game. His nickname is "Friki" (Spanish for Geek) and if he's earned that title in a place like this, you can imagine how knowledgeable he is.
Iván
Our public relations and social media manager. Don't give him any free time or he'll start coming up with new ideas for the store.
He developed his steady hand by painting hundreds of miniatures.
Carlos
Our latest addition is an expert Magic player, among many other card games. After his baptism with Rafiki, he is now learning the laws of the kingdom.
Garri
Also known as Padis' best customer. He pays in spices. Specializes in opening new Yu-Gi-Oh! collections.
We also have a network of collaborators who specialize in different areas. A Yu-Gi-Oh! judge, a Pokémon trainer, several board game experts...
NOMADIC SPIRIT
As Padis, we have traveled all over the country visiting major cultural events in the geek world, such as the "Feria X, Salón X example, example, example." If you have been to any of these events, you already know us.
Leaving aside the hard work involved, we take away great memories and the contact details of hundreds of people we have met over the years.
PADIS 2.0
We have made the leap into the digital world with our online store and social media, which has allowed us to stay in closer contact with you.
